MY FIRST BIKE WAS:
a hand me down
girls bike from one of my 3 older sisters. It
was yellow and had a banana seat. I loved it.
RIDING
OFFERS ME: Freedom, flying without wings.
I
WISH I NEVER SOLD MY: Honda 200X.
THE CYCLING WORLD NEEDS
MORE: Cyclocross!
I AM INSPIRED BY: the
hardmen and women that make it look so easy
- Work, family, successful cycling career.
ONE DAY, WHEN I WAS
RIDING: my daughter
to school on the trail-a-bike, I must have neglected
to snug the quick release that connected the
trail-a-bike to my bike down and at the bottom
of a big hill, the bike suddenly got lighter
and I heard the sound of my sweet daughter skidding
along the pavement behind me. Scariest day of
my life. I anticipate hearing her telling this
story for the next 20 or so years, or whenever
she wants something from me.
IN THE OFF-SEASON,
I DO A LOT OF:
of stressing and fretting about preparing for
the next season. And drinking.
I AM CURRENTLY LUSTING:
a pit cross bike - specifically
one with disc brakes.... I'd love a Moots...
TRUST ME WHEN I SAY:
make sure your bike
is connected *tightly* to your roof rack before
getting on the freeway. Seriously, trust me.
