ONE DAY, WHEN I WAS
RIDING: I was
caught off guard by a hit to my helmet. An upward
force that was luckily bound by the chin strap.
The release sent the helmet over my eyes forcing
my shades to the end of my nose. Rattled, I
quickly replaced my gear and regained focus
in time to catch the rising shadow of a large
wing span. Hawk? Owl? Who knows, I'm still paranoid
to ride that stretch.
