Nice ride…

Wow. What a difference a long slow ride in the sunnyshine has on ones emotional state. Here in Pennsylvania the winter can be tough. So far this year we have been lucky. We have had less than 8 inches of snow and the temperates have been in the 40s. Around lunch time I loaded up my vassago bandersnatch and headed for a place I havent ridden in a long time. As the miles began to roll under my tires I began to feel good. While my fitness isnt great, the time on the bike washed away two weeks of stress. After about two hours I felt like I had accomplished something. Emotionally I was recharged and ready to face a new week at work. I really miss riding the trails I rode today. These trails are on state lands and have limited access due to some legislation. I tried to stay "legal" but I'm pretty sure I rode some trails that might be "closed" to bikes. It doesnt help that these trails are poorly marked. I guess I would pay the fine in exchange for the smile those two hours put on my face.
