I was looking to do a sub hour ride at Yankee, but no. The good news is that I felt great, improved 6 places and dropped time from my previous year. I'm usually looking ahead trying to find a spot to let someone around. Instead I was looking 3-6 people up trying to find a way around them. With a couple of trail rides and some road miles in my legs I am looking forward to the Fort. I went for a pre-ride and couldn't seem to find my way. For a trail with maps and arrows, leave it to me to take every wrong turn. On the first lap I somehow pulled up at my car 3 miles after I started (on a 9+ mile lap). Attempt two led me taking another wrong turn and missing the "hill." I got my head straight and figured out which way to go, actually I asked like 10 people. The good news is that I got 33 miles in 3 hours and only took it out of the big ring once for a short section. Just shy of 1500 miles for the year, ramping up for the mid season endurance races. j
