What a Perfect day for a race! The guys at Alterra should be proud of themselves for hosting such a friendly and great enviorment to be at. I prerode the track at 8:30am on Saturday morning. I took two laps and headed home only to pick up my dauther Alex and her cousin Sammantha and headed to “Warped Fest” in Tinly Park.12 hrs later we were back home and I was way ready for some good sleep. With 6 hrs of sleep I headed back to the track a good hour drive. Race time!
Call up to the line… I was top 10 after the start and had a great ride…I had most fun in the twisty turns in the woods I felt a good flow for most of the race till the last lap. I was plagued with the dreaded leg cramps that keep haunting me this year. Twenty people must have passed me on that last lap…I just wanted to finish the race and not stop. Again 7th in my age group 51st overall. I got some info after the race… I’m changing my race drink! Still had a great day!
