Buffalo Springs 70.3 Triathlon

The swim was a no-wetsuit swim for the pros, and the water was toasty warm. I came out of the water in 28:43.

Out on the bike and it was windy, but not insane. This bike course is one of my favorites - it is hilly and keeps everything real. I did my best to ride steady, and was fairly happy with my 2:41 bike split, although I had been hoping for something faster.

Off the bike and onto the run I was in 16th place for pro females. By this time it was HOT HOT HOT. I started picking off girls one by one. This post should probably be entitled do not EVER give up. By the end of the run I had moved into 6th place with a 2nd fastest female run split for the day. A great way to end the race!
