Dust Cup #4

After too many hours on planes and too much jet lag over the previous week I was not expecting mich from my legs for this race. It is the 4th of 8 summer midweek evening XC races around Copenhagen, Denmark and I am aiming to come in the top half overall.
This race was held on the white route near Rosklide which are my local trails. Unfortunately, life stuff has meant that I have spent a lot more time on the road bike recently and it really showed once the race got going. I was lacking mojo.
The races are 1,25 hours long with you having to complete the lap you are on at that point meaning that most races last 1½ hours. I started in the 5th out of 10 groups based on my previous results but each of the 4 times I fell off I lost at least 10 places and lost about 10% of my enthusiasm. I ended up 179 out of 289 which was actually worse than usual for me, but I did sort of enjoy blowing the cobwebs out and now I have a good break before the racing kicks of again in Denmark in August.
