Well the first cross race of my season has come and past. I suited up in the Metal kit in the parking lot changing in a towel being the classy guy I am. To hot for the skinsuit hoping to rock that soon though. Riding through the lot I spotted another Metaler, it was big man John Glodek. Introduced myself and rolled around to get warmed up. Line up middle of the pack, gun goes off and were off. Thinking wow this is fast, wow this hurts already. Over the barriers, up the runup though the mudpit over the bars and back on the bike I come though the start finish. Into lap number 2 its hurting even more, cramping in the ribs isn't helping my case any. Half way though the second lap I pull the plug and duck under the tape tuck tail and head over to the run up to heckle other racers. DCCX is in 2 weeks, looking like the commute is going to get turned into intervals, I know I need it.
