Mohawk 100

Loudonville, OH
Barry-Roubaix Killer Gravel Race Saturday March 27, 2010
by: Scott Cole

A long road trip usually always equals a good time and with an event like the Mohican how can you not be satisfied. With a main street start in small town America, a 100 mile loop course that will kick your butt with climbing & technical single track, a finish chute where you’re handed a commemorative finishers pint glass instead of water to help assist you in drinking some of the tasty liquid from six kegs of beer for recovery along with awesome food, what more can you wish for…maybe finishing.

This years event went well for me with over an hour improvement from last years first attempt at this race.  It helped to see and talk to so many other Twin 6 METAL teammates during the race and at the finish you could always spot someone with some type of T6 gear on.  My two other travel buddies had less than stellar rides with one requiring stitches after a emergency room visit and the other had less damaging physical issues that led to a DNF. Next up is the WORS Big Ring this weekend before the LumberJack 100 in two weeks.  Pedal on…  Scott Cole
