This past weekend was SSUSA in Stowe, VT. Amazing trails, super vibe among the riders, and plenty of alcohol to keep us all well-lubed. The course was perfect -- a little of everything: roots, rocks, climbing, descending, singletrack, double-track and even zero track. Even better was the experience with the other riders. Got to meet folks from all over the country and everyone seemed to have a great time. The locals gave us the scoop on riding in VT, and the folks from far away were excited to sample east coast riding. The post-race events included the upright challenge for the belt, a push-up contest, and most importantly, the syrup-drinking contet to determine next year's host city. In the end, it was MN taking the win in the 2013 hosting challenge. Even though that's a long trip, this year's was so much fun I don't know how I can't plan on making it i out there for 2013!
