Sunburst was a great bumpy ass course! Not a great start but mid pack was just fine to pace my self without burning out to quick. I felt great in the woods and at the top of chair lift area. thats where I would pass most riders. I was lapped by Brian Matter in the woods going up the long climb… he said “leader” It was just him and I so I hung on for as long as I could which was not very long but it was well worth the chase.
I slid out on the third lap and broke my shift lever and was stuck in the middle ring for the rest of the race. No leg cramps this race and felt good at the end. 7th in my age group and 50th overall. Still working on it!
