WORS #3 Big RIn Classic - Andy

Our vacation started on Saturday. Travis and Aunt Louie came over around 11am, packed up and headed out. Short drive for this one…just over 2 hours. Went straight to the Days Inn to change into some riding gear. Went to the track to do a couple laps.Ran into Bill, Russ, Jeanie, Scott, Don, Claire, Matt, Ben and a few others. After two laps we felt good enough about the course. Super fast and drying up. Back to the hotel for showers and then out to eat. Went to the Wausau Mine. Portions are huge and most of it was good. Just not my Chicken Alfredo. Back again and went swimming while everyone else watched a movie. Sleeping by 10:30pm. 7am waffles and cereal then some quick weight loss before getting into my kit. Headed to the course by nine. Setup for handups and general mayhem. Quick warmup and got pinned. Waited for my call up in the chute. 2nd for my age which put me on the front line. Don yelled GOOOOOOOOOOOOO and we were off. Good start on a super long leadout. Tons of gravel and a blistering pace. Hit the woods and the trails were still fast. Corners were getting loose. First lap was lots of battling and I only lost one position. Second lap I got my spot back and held everyone off. Temps were good so it wasn’t too painful. Fourth and some METAL to show for it. Stayed to cheer on everyone else and hung out with Shane. Starving on the way home we stopped for some chinese buffet. Rolled ourselves back in the truck and watched a movie on the way home. Got all the bottles and clothes washed and was packed away before the night was over. Short stay and a close race but a fun course always seems like a vacation. See everyone at the SUBARU CUP!!!
