WORS TREADFEST…

Treadfest the nearest wors race for me…A 50 min drive from my house in IL. A great day for racing…a little warm and full of sun. I was 3rd row back…so I new I had to work a bit harder to catch any of the guys I had been trying to hang with this year.It was the toughest wors track of the year so far. Great technical and lots of killer hills.The 1st lap…I got off to a suck ass start and full of dust…My plan was to pick off one by one for the rest of the race. All I was thinking about was the rock garden…how I was going to handle it…what line I was going to take and what if a rock had rolled in the way of my line??? Feeling good… I came around the corner before the rock garden I could hear all the people cheering riders on…then my turn… go Nick I a couple folks yelled…total focus moto style…I rode the rocks and made the corner after it…I was like hell ya! I was riding great and rode the switch back corners near the end of lap one. By the end of the race I had nothing left in my legs…I had to stop on the last lap to rest for a couple of mins…I did finish! 58th overall…7th age group…not a great race for me. I think my pre ride was way to long and hard…Never try new things the day of the race.

But I did hammer the rock garden strong each lap!
 
The next race at the Fat Tire 40 was much better!
