Order FAQ

Is your web site secure?

Yes. All personal information that you provide Twin Six is protected from security threats and third parties. Rest assured nothing will be shared with anyone else.

For your protection, all credit card transactions are handled through a secure link via our payment gateway and our bank, and no credit card information is ever stored on our servers.

Please note the https web address for secure and encrypted pages of our site.

How will you ship my order?

Orders are shipped via the United States Postal Service or FedEx.

Packages will be shipped within five business days of your order being placed. Many times, they are shipped the same day you place your order. If you need expedited shipping, please place your order as normal and either call or send us an e-mail immediately with that special request. (service@twinsix.com)

Why does shipping cost what it does?

Great question. Shipping fees are determined by our shipping partners USPS and FedEx – not by us. Shipping prices vary by weight and are determined by where your order is being shipped – not by us.

Why is international shipping so expensive?

We used to have a First Class International option. However, customers who chose this method often waited months (literally months) for their orders to arrive. During that time, they would report the package lost. So we would have to refund them, and or re-ship the package. When initial packages would arrive, sometimes people would let us know – and then we would have to try to get paid again, and the second package would be shipped back to us... on our dime. In the end, this was a huge waste of time, money and effort on everyone's part. So currently the only International shipping method we offer is FedEx, which comes with a tracking number and a much shorter shipping time. Unfortunately, it also comes with a higher price, and that is something that we cannot control. International customers are responsible for any and all import duties, fees or taxes.

PRODUCT INFO

Where is your gear made, and by whom?

We have worked extremely hard to develop our own product line since 2005. The fit of our jerseys has evolved over the years, and now includes a few different options. Our Graphic jerseys (the bulk of the jerseys, MSRP $105) could be considered the closest to a "club cut", although they skew slightly more toward the "athletic" side of the spectrum. They are not big and boxy. We feel as though they run very true to size. Chances are good that if you wear a Medium t-shirt you will feel most comfortable in a Medium Graphic jersey.

Our Standard jerseys and the ones in solid colors (MSRP $105). These have the same overall fit as the Graphic jerseys, but just solid colors.

The Standard Race jersey are our most euro-fitting race cut jerseys. They will feel more snug in the same size when compared to our Graphic jerseys, and are built from a handful of different Italian high performance micro-poly fabrics. They feature longer laser cut sleeves for a seamless feeling with no arm constriction and full length semi-autolock zipper with backing at the top to eliminate neck pinch. They also have a small silicone band around the bottom of the jersey to hold everything in place.

We partnered with a private label manufacturer here in the USA to produce our technical apparel for years. A lot of the gear on the site right now was domestically made and is noted on those product pages. In October 2022, we began working with a private label manufacturer in China to produce our technical apparel with the same fit and better finishes. The blanks for our casual t-shirts, hoodies, and hats are made all over the world. Nicaragua, Pakistan, Poland, China. Decoration for our casual collections are done in St. Paul, MN.

Sizing

Use these charts to approximate your size. Even if you fall out of one of the columns, chances are good that if you fall within two to three of them that whatever size is noted will fit you great. These charts are also the last image in the image scroll on every product page. If you have additional sizing question, just shoot us a note: service@twinsix.com

Who designs all your stuff?

We do. It is all done here at our warehouse.

Explain how your production runs work?

Our jerseys and tees are redesigned on a semi-annual basis (for the most part). So, the gear you see on our site now will probably not be here next season. In an effort to stay current and continue to offer fresh design options, we will always change and evolve our product offering. If you dig something, get it now, because once it is gone, it is (probably) gone for good.

Does your stuff have a warranty?

Yes. Our warranty covers manufacturer defects for a period of one year after ship date. All warranty requests are subject to our inspection and approval. Defective garments will be repaired or replaced at our discretion. Email service@twinsix.com for a Return Authorization Form. Fill it out and include a copy with your shipment back to us.

GARMENT CARE

Like every kind of equipment, clothing is not made to last forever, but below there are a few useful notes for maintaining and maximizing the life of your cycling garments.

Never use any creams, liquids or products for warming up (winter) or sun protection (summer) under garments made with elastic fibers. These products contain chemicals which lead to quick fiber deterioration for all fabrics made with spandex. Avoid getting any sunscreen under or on your cycling apparel made with elastic based fabrics.

After each ride, hang your garments in a well-ventilated environment or wash them immediately. Do not hang the garments in the direct sunlight. Never store damp sweaty clothes in a non-ventilated environment (e.g. plastic bags, sport bag).

Sweat is corrosive. On some individuals more than others – body chemistry is different for everyone. If your body has a tendency to sweat a lot, wash or water-rinse the garments after each use to protect the fibers from bacterial attacks which might lead to fabric deterioration.

Wash

Washing a garment can put stress on fabric and seams. Therefore, wash cycling garments separately from other clothes/accessories to prevent friction – especially items with Velcro, webbing, or anything with a rough /abrasive character. Before washing, turn the garments inside out (seams on the outside).

Machine-wash, ideally in a wash bag, on a delicate cycle in lukewarm water (max. 30° C/86° F), and with mild liquid detergent. Do not use scented detergents, Woolite, bleach, softeners, or any kind of laundry additive. Dry garments flat or hanging, but do not tumble dry.

Potential Problems

Fabric pilling
Fabric pilling (balling up of fibers in an area) does not occur by itself. It always is the result of abrasion – rubbing against something else. For this reason we suggest the following:

  • Do not use embroidered saddles.
  • Make sure the Velcro fastener of saddle pockets does not touch your shorts.
  • Do not wash your shorts or jerseys together with gloves, bags, rain jackets, etc. because of the Velcro straps.

Fabric deterioration
Sweat sitting on synthetic performance fabrics can cause the fabric to degrade. Stretch fabrics, with elastic fibers are especially affected. See above for care instructions.

Chemicals that come in contact with your elastic based cycling fabrics, will cause these elastane yarns to break down. Chemicals from sunscreens are a common reason for loss of elasticity and curling.
